Our Restaurant
A dining room full of lemons.
Newly redecorated, La Pergola is lemons overhead, blue-and-white ceramics on every wall and an Italian kitchen at its heart — on the square in La Cala de Mijas.
The dining room
Lemon garlands across the ceiling, painted plates on white walls — and blue, everywhere blue.
Inside, the room is bright and white, framed by cobalt panels and lit by crystal chandeliers. Lemon-print parasols hang upside down from the ceiling, painted ceramic plates climb the walls, and blue glassware and lemon-yellow plates wait on crisp white tablecloths.
It's a room with plenty to look at. The welcome — and the cooking — is Italian through and through.
The details
Lemons & majolica
The lemon is La Pergola's signature: on the cushions and the plates, the parasols and the garlands — even on the menus, framed in blue-and-white tiles.
Press play for a short walk from the terrace to the table.
The terrace
Out on the square
Out front, tables spill onto the square beneath white awnings, bougainvillea and a pergola strung with lemons and lights. A sunny spot for a weekend lunch, and a lovely one after dark.
Room & plate
The same blue, on your plate.
Dishes arrive on blue-and-white patterned plates that echo the walls around them, so the kitchen and the dining room tell the same story.
